How do I download the eSIMCrew using the QR code?
The process is very simple, simply scan the QR code, this will take you to the relevant app store for your handset and straight to the eSIMCrew app, simply download the FREE eSIMCrew app and sign up to create an account.
How do I redeem the discount code for my purchase?
- Open the eSIMCrew app
- Tap the country you’d like an eSIM for
- Choose the Data Plan you’d like to purchase
- Tap ‘Buy Now’
- In promo code enter the discount code ‘SSAuckland.
- Complete the purchase process and click on ‘Activate your eSIM’ on the ‘Payment Successful’ page of the app
Can I top up my eSIM if I run out of data?
- Go to ‘My eSIMS’
- Tap Topup on the eSIM you wish to add a new Data Plan package to.
- Select the amount of Data you wish to purchase
- Enter in your discount code and go through the payment process
- Your Data will automatically be added to your eSIM
How can I check how much Data I have remaining?
- Open the eSIMCrew app
- Click on ‘My eSIMs’
- You will see your Data Plan and how much data you have left and how many days you have remaining.
My eSim is loaded, what to do next?
ANDROID
- Tap ‘Mobile Data’
- Select ‘Your eSIM’
- Go back to ‘Connections’
- Tap ‘Mobile networks’
- If you’re ready to use your eSIM then set Data Roaming to ‘ON’
- Please ensure you change your eSIM’s name to something memorable, you can do this in your phone’s Settings.
iOS
Go to Settings.
- Tap ‘Cellular’ or ‘Mobile’
- Tap your eSIM. Ensure that the eSIM is enabled. If not, Turn ON This Line.
- Turn Data Roaming ON
- Go to ‘Cellular’ or ‘Mobile Settings’
- Tap ‘Cellular’ or ‘Mobile Data’ and select your eSIM.
- Your eSIM should automatically connect to a supported mobile network.
- Please ensure you change your eSIM’s name to something memorable, you can do this in your phone’s Settings.
Please note: You will need strong Data or WiFi to download the eSIMCrew app and purchase your required Data Plans. You can usually find this at your nearest seafarers’ centre, or download at home (using the code SSAUCKLAND to get the discount.)
You can then keep the Data Plan switched off until you are ready to use your Data Plan.
