The Seafarers’ Centre is a partnership between 2 major seafarers’ welfare organisations – the Mission to Seafarers (Auckland), and Sailors’ Society New Zealand. Maritime Welfare Ltd employs 3 welfare officers in Auckland partly funded by a grant from Maritime NZ. Each welfare officer is affiliated as a chaplain to one of the partner bodies.
